I love old monster movie posters. I have a few around my place and always looking to expand my collection. Recently been debating about getting a tattoo of a monster in the classic style, or maybe some words in the classic monster movie text. Anyways, there is something to be said about the hand crafted art work from the early 30’s-50’s and its imperfections, cheekiness and style. Check out some more posters after the jump.

Love the style and would be thrilled if it made a comeback in posters today.

I agree with Eli, I wish that there would be more throwbacks to vintage art and style in both movie posters and in the films themselves. This is actually something I thought about rather recently, within the last month. Also, I really need to get around to watching more of these classic films. Last year, when I lived in a different town, a friend of mine and I took the time to watch a few, one of them being my first time watching Night of the Living Dead; it was fun.

Cool, I love the Gozilla Poster - still reminds of the old trashy movies wink...
